Endotoxin Testing

Serana (WA) Pty Ltd has considerable expertise in FDA approved testing methodologies for the estimation of Endotoxin levels in a wide variety of sample matrixes. We are able to offer contract Endotoxin testing with full validation documentation and a rapid turn-around time at sensitivities up to 0.005EU/ml in appropriate samples. Viral and Bacterial Testing

Serana (WA) Pty Ltd has extensive experience in the analysis of antibody levels against a wide range of viral and bacterial antigens relevant to animal husbandry in serum or milk samples. In addition we can offer direct testing of viral and bacterial antigens using immunoassay methodologies in serum, milk or tissue samples. Please contact our staff with your testing requirements.

Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus Total Antibody Test

• Comprehensive and Flexible: Identifies infections with Type I and Type II strains.


• Detects BVDV antibodies in serum, plasma and milk.


• Measures the strength of humoral immune response to BVDV infection in bulk milk samples. Movement of this level may be indicative of recent exposure to persistently infected (PI) cattle.


• Accurate: Provides 99.5% specificity and 96.3% sensitivity.


• Performs as well as serum neutralisations tests with faster turnaround times.

BVDV Antigen Serum Test

• Robust: Detects BVDV infection in old or poor quality samples; no special sample handling required


• Appropriate for any cattle operation—dairy or beef

• Works with blood, serum, plasma and ear-notch tissue; allows veterinarians to request BVDV tests on samples collected for other tests

Leukosis Screening Antibody Test

The Leukosis Serum Screening Ab Test detects all types of antibodies against the virus (e.g., envelope proteins, capsid proteins) in individual or pool sera. The test are based on the use of an ultrapurified virus lysate and are standardized to detect the European standard serum for (E5) diluted to 1:100 in negative bovine serum, according to the requirements of the Council Directive 64/432/EEC

Leukosis Milk Verification Antibody Test

The Leukosis Milk Verfication Ab Test detects all types of antibodies against the virus (e.g., envelope proteins, capsid proteins) in individual or pooled milk samples. The test are based on the use of an ultrapurified virus lysate and are standardized to detect the European standard serum for (E5) diluted to 1:100 in negative bovine serum, according to the requirements of the Council Directive 64/432/EEC

Brucella abortus Antibody Test Kits

The Brucellosis Serum X2 Ab Test are enzyme immunoassays for the detection of antibodies against Brucella abortus in individual serum and plasma, and pools of up to 10 individual serum or plasma samples of ruminants.

The Brucellosis Milk X2 Ab Test are enzyme immunoassays for the detection of antibodies against Brucella abortus in individual or pooled bovine milk of up to 250 cows.

The test kits include chemical reagents (wash, substrate, stop solutions) that can also be used with kits that test for other abortive diseases (Q fever, neosporosis, toxoplasmosis, Chlamydia).

The Brucellosis Serum Ab Test allows for the analysis of individual sera or plasma samples and pools of maximal 10 sera or plasmas with same process, and according to the requirements defined in the modification project of the European Directive (CEE 64/432, modiciations of Annex C dated on 21/03/2002). The kit detects in case of individual serology the international standards serum OIEISS at 1/150 dilution in negative serum and in case of pool of sera the OIEISS at 1/1500 dilution in negative serum.
